Youth Compact Gut and Go

Any FWD Uni Body Mini car. No AWD

1. You may move wire harness to backside of motor; do not move to inside of car(simplified harness is ok).

2. NO CARB SWAPS or distributor swaps, No Headers, No aftermarket shifters, no aftermarket pedals.

3. Bumpers must remain 100% stock OEM that came with car and unaltered, NO

EXCEPTIONS. No welding or reinforcing. If it came with a plastic bumper, find a different car. (NO STUFFING UNIBODIES, WE WILL BE SCOPING THEM). You can have 2 strands of #9 wire per side from bumper to core support to keep bumper from falling off.

4. Driver and Passenger front door can be welded 12” vertical seam with 3”x1/8” flat strap, cut as you desire. All other doors may be welded 6” on vertical seams. This is not to strengthen the car in any way; it is for driver safety ONLY.  If you chose not to weld, you are allowed 12 spots of double stranded 9 wire or 3/8 bolts on the front doors and 6 spots on the rear doors, do not abuse this rule.  You may add a 24”x24”x1/4” plate bolted to the center of the outer door skin on both front doors for driver safety, 12 3/8” bolts max.

5. Hood and trunk must be held shut with chain or #9 wire only. 4 spots max with 4 strands per location. HOOD and TRUNK MUST BE OPEN FOR INPSECTION. Both will be enforced.  You may discard the trunk if desired.

6. You can have a maximum of 4-point cage that does not extend more than 12”

behind seat. You can have fuel tank protector, but it can only be wide enough to

protect fuel cell. (NOT DOOR TO DOOR). You can also have a halo bar. May bolt in roof in 2 spots with 2 ½” bolts 6” long.

7. All cars MUST have some sort of window bar or strap to keep the hood from coming into the car.

8. Factory fuel tank may be utilized as long as in front of rear axle and secured. Fuel tank may be removed, and a metal boat tank or homemade metal tank mounted and secured in rear seat area. This is extremely important; all judges’ decision is final on this. Battery (maximum of 2) needs to be mounted and covered in passenger floorboard. 

9.  You will be allowed a header.  NO bracing NO protectors.  This is just a simple header.  Must use OEM shifter, gas pedal, and brake pedal for make and model that you are running.
